How should I RSVP?

Please RSVP through our website, located under the tab "RSVP".

When should I RSVP by?

To best help our planning, please RSVP to all events as soon as possible! However, the deadline to RSVP is September 1st. If we do not hear from you before then, we will have to assume you are sadly not joining, as we have a venue and vendors that need final head counts by a certain deadline.

Can I bring a plus one?

Your invitation will indicate if you have a plus one, otherwise, we only have space for those specifically listed on the invitation.

Are children invited?

As you all know, Amelia is a teacher, and loves that most of her week is spent working with children. That being said, this wedding and all events are exclusive to adults.

What is the venue address?

As our wedding ceremony and reception will be at two locations within the same park, there are two addresses. The address for our ceremony is at 1700 Hampton Street, Richmond, VA 23220. Our reception will be at The Robins Nature Center, located at 2201 Shields Lake Drive, Richmond VA 23220.

Is there parking?

Yes! At both locations for our ceremony and reception, there will be parking lots. Please keep in mind, however, that our venue is hosted at a public park, and these parking lots are not reserved solely for our wedding. We cannot guarantee parking, although we are not worried about space, either. The ceremony and reception are at two different locations, so please anticipate moving your car in between ceremony and reception, as the initial parking lot will be locked during our reception.

What is the venue like?

Our wedding will be hosted at Maymont, a public park located in Richmond, VA. The ceremony will be outdoors, located at a beautiful oak tree, uncovered, rain or shine. Please anticipate some walking from the parking lot on both paved walkways and grass to arrive at your seat. Cocktail hour will be held indoors in a nature exhibit, and reception will be outdoors on the terrace of the exhibit, heated and tented. Both cocktail hour and reception will be closer to parking.

What is the dress code?

Please help us enhance our special day by wearing festive formal attire! Floor length or ankle length dresses, suits with or without ties, dress shoes preferred (though please remember our ceremony will be outdoors). Vibrant colors and patterns are encouraged - we want you to feel and have fun!

What time should I arrive?

Our ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00pm. You may arrive and be seated as early as 4:30pm, and we strongly encourage you to arrive by 4:45pm as there is some walking between the parking lot and our ceremony location.

Are there hotel rooms blocked?

Due to the small size of our wedding, there are no hotel rooms blocked. However, if you are looking for a hotel and would like recommendations, please feel free to reach out to us and we will help you find your perfect stay!

What food and drinks will be served? What if I have dietary restricitons?

We will be offering an open bar and small bites during cocktail hour, as well as an open bar and dinner during reception. When you RSVP, you will be able to provide us any dietary restrictions you may have. We want to be accommodating to everyone, and are working with a fantastic caterer who can provide meals for any sort of restriction.

Who should I contact if I have further questions?

Please text Amelia at (804)922-9124 or Anne at (804)516-8767
